1. Hot honey

    Honey + hot sauce, 50/50

Warm them together for a minute so it pours. Like it hotter? Add more sauce. Drizzle over pizza or fried chicken.

  2. Spicy mayo

3 tbsp mayo + 1 tbsp hot sauce

Stir until smooth. Start with less sauce and add to taste. Made for burgers and fries.

  3. Better eggs

3 or 4 drops per egg

  • The pepper

Cayenne and tabasco peppers are sharp and approachable. Habanero is fruity and hot. Ghost pepper and above are for the brave.

  • The style

Vinegar first means tangy and thin. Peppers first means thicker and more about the chili itself.

  • The heat scale

Heat is measured in Scoville units. Many bottles print a simple 1 to 5 rating, which is more useful at the shelf.
