Steps

  1. 1Fill the bottle about a third full with warm water, add the glue and shake to mix. More glue makes the glitter fall more slowly.
  2. 2Add the glitter, and a drop of food coloring if you like.
  3. 3Top up with warm water, leaving a small gap at the top, and shake to test.
  4. 4An adult glues the lid shut, so it can't be opened. Shake it, then breathe slowly while the glitter settles.

  • Craft or cosmetic

    Craft glitter is for paper, jars and pumpkins, not skin. For faces and nails, buy glitter labeled cosmetic grade.

  • Fine or chunky

    Fine glitter gives an all-over shimmer. Chunky flakes catch the light one by one.
